Titanium in GNS3 QEMU on Windows 7

So, I've seen a few posts around the internet where people can't get Titanium to run in QEMU in GNS3 on Windows 7.  I thought I'd take a stab at it, and didn't have much luck.

Here's what I'm using:

Titanium 6.1.1
Windows 7 64-bit
GNS3-0.8.3.1-all-in-one

  • Qemu Image
    • I have this pointing to my vmdk file that I have working in VMware Workstation 9.  This is running Titanium 6.1.1, even though I have tried this all with 5.1.2 and 5.2.1.  Same issue.
  • RAM
    • Using 1024 MiB is the only way I can get QEMU to start.
    • If I use 2048 MiB, I get the error:
      • Issues have been detected while starting nodes, please check details ...
      • I click Show Details, which tells me - QEMU1: error from server 127.0.0.1:10525: 209-unable to start instance 'QEMU1'
      • I click OK and start crying.
  • Number of NICs
    • I've always left this at 6, never changed it.
  • NIC model
    • Set this to e1000
  • Qemu Options
    • I've tried a couple of options with CPU, SCSI, etc.  Didn't really make any progress that seemed valuable.
  • Use KVM (Linux hosts only)
    • I've tried having this checked and unchecked, didn't seem to make any difference.
So, using the vmdk file, 1024 RAM, 6 e1000 NICs, no options, KVM unchecked, I get it to power up and the QEMU window shows this:

Plex86/Bochs VGABios (PCI) current-cvs 17 Dec 2008

OK, everything looks great so far, just like it did when I had this running in VMware Workstation.  So, I right-click on the QEMU instance in GNS3 and console into it.  Putty opens up and it scrolls through a bunch of stuff that I logged and notice it continually repeats this cycle:

I am having the same issue that harwingz is having. I have the Titanium images up and running, but I am unable to login using admin/cisco. It is giving me the invalid password error. Has anyone had this issue and remediated it?

harwingz and Greg Joseph - what version of Titanium are you running? And, did you do a fresh build or upgrade?
